{"id":249,"date":"2012-06-08T08:30:00","date_gmt":"2012-06-08T12:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/roseshadowranch.com\/?p=249"},"modified":"2012-06-08T08:30:00","modified_gmt":"2012-06-08T12:30:00","slug":"graces-first-double-yolker","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roseshadowranch.com\/?p=249","title":{"rendered":"Grace&#8217;s First Double Yolker!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"fcbkbttn_buttons_block\" id=\"fcbkbttn_left\"><div class=\"fcbkbttn_button\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/roseshadowranch.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/facebook-button-plugin\/images\/standard-facebook-ico.png?w=584&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Fb-Button\" \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"fcbkbttn_like \"><fb:like href=\"https:\/\/roseshadowranch.com\/?p=249\" action=\"like\" colorscheme=\"light\" layout=\"standard\"  width=\"225px\" size=\"small\"><\/fb:like><\/div><\/div><p>Couldn&#8217;t figure out why Grace, my Delaware, was honking like a goose all morning a couple days ago until I went out to the coop to check for eggs and found this! \u00a0This egg weighed a whopping 100 grams (approx. 3 and a half ounces), was 3 inches long and so fat that I could not touch my middle finger to my thumb wrapped around the center of the egg!!! \u00a0In the picture below, the other egg was her egg from the day before and it weighed 58 grams. \u00a0I was really thinking it was going to be my first triple yolker, but to my surprise it was only a double, her first!<\/p>\n<p>So why does this happen?
