Today’s project, hopefully finish the quail’s new coop. My husband has been working hard on it and has done such a great job! I’m so excited to get the quails into their new home and get started on the chickens new coop. Here’s a picture of the coop in progress. Oh, and if you need a coop built by a licensed builder, just email us and my husband can build one to suit to your needs too. No cheaply built coops here, he uses only excellent quality materials so your coop lasts years!
What kind of flooring do you use? Do you slant the floor so the eggs will roll forward?
Hi Heather,
In this particular coop, we did not slant the floor, however, if you were interested in having us build you a coop, we could do so no problem. I have had problems with a lot of eggs getting cracked with slanted floors in the past. Does make it easier for collecting though. The floor is made of 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch heavy hardward cloth.
