Silkie hatching update
Well, today is day 22 and so far, the silkie eggs have not hatched. However, I can see movement in at least 1 egg, so the fate of the eggs is still undetermined. I’m not sure what it is with silkies that makes them so much harder to hatch than other breeds of chickens, but for some reason, I have trouble with them. Then again, maybe it’s something I’m doing or not doing for that matter. I have only been hatching eggs for a short time. I will keep you updated….
Silkies due to hatch tomorrow!!!!!
Tomorrow is the day! I have 5 white silkie eggs due to hatch. This will be my second time hatching silkie eggs. From my experience, silkies are difficult to hatch. My first hatch, I had 2 hatch out of 5, not real good, so we’ll see what happens this time. Fingers are crossed for a 100% hatch. I will keep you all posted!
